Behemoth Bread

Well, that really isn't the name of the recipe, but it certainly is what I ended up with! I guess our bread machine isn't built to handle that much bread dough!

Anyhow, I was wanting to make some cinnamon raisin bread for David and me. I asked David's sister for the recipe she used, and followed it to the letter. It was a recipe for cinnamon-oatmeal bread, and in addition to four cups of flour, there was an additional cup of rolled oats. I guess oatmeal expands more than I expected...

Here you see the finished results. It is pretty much the same as it looked in the bread machine, with the exception of a little pulled off the sides so I could grab the handle, which was baked into the bread.

That's one huge loaf!
Mom was telling me of your troubles with our bread recipe...how did the bread turn out in the end? I'm really curious. We're trying to figure out a way to make that recipe more moist on the second or third day because it tends to dry out a little...I'll tell you if we succeed.
